E85 refers to 85% ethanol and 15% fossil fuel. One question that we pondered is if E85 becomes as popular in the USA as it has in Brazil what about our current cars? Would it be possible to convert standard fossil fuel cars on the road for E85 compliance?

The answer is yes and no. It is yes, in the fact that yes it is possible to convert fossil fuel cars to E85 fuel compatibility. In fact the estimate for parts ranges from $30-100 per car for E85 conversion. The structure of the car engine or fuel tank does not change. Just a few modifications to the car engine are required.

However as of now E85 conversion kits really are not marketed in the USA due to the fact that they do not have clearance to be sold. The only way an E85 conversion kit could be used is if the car became EPA certified.

To become EPA certified a car has to be tested for 50,000 miles and cost over $20,000. That’s an expensive alternative fuel source.

So currently US law is not structured to make a huge conversion of regular fossil fuel cars to E85. However the saying is necessity is the mother of invention. If such tycoons as Vinod Khosla can persuade the usage of E85 as a solution in the USA for the growing energy problem an e85 conversion kit should not be harder to achieve.

The Z6 design is expected to be a hardtop cross between the 350Z and a Porsche 911. It will look like it is from the family of the 6 series line with a much faster looking appeal. A report on the Z6 tells us that it is expected to weigh under 3500 pounds.

The Z6 is expected to be full of electronic enhancements to please the BMW car enthusaist. The Z6 will also lead the way for BMW in effenceny.

The Z6 on release is expected to have a price tag under $130,000 USD sporting a front end engine design.

Saab annouced the concept car they are working on that they have dubbed the Saab Aero X E100. E100 stands for 100% ethanol fueled.

Currently other automakers have used cars with flex fuel technology. Particularly Ford is marketing strongly for flex fuel cars. Flex fuel cars use E85. 85% ethanol and 15% fossil fuels. Ethanol is a good alternative since it can be produced in the heartlands of America’s farmlands. It also produces far less polution than fossil fuels. Currently the USA is only using corn to produce large amounts of ethanol. However the potential is greater for ethanol from other sources that are being researched for usage.

E100 is ahead of E85 technology in that it completely takes the fossil fuels out of the picture. And so Saab is looking to capitalize on the needed future of alternative energy.

The Aero X is a 2 door sports coupe that looks similar to first generation hybrid cars. Surprisingly though this 2-door packs some real punch under the hood. Powered by E100 the Aero X uses 400 horses of power. That’s some real kick for a car running on an alternative fuel source. What have we been doing messing with fossil fuels all this time?

Under the hood of the Aero X is a 2.8 liter V6 engine. It’s unique biofuel source names the engine type as a biopower engine.

3. Turn the ignition on and then select the wire that is under the dash.

4. Put the light tester into the ignition source. Light should come on.

5. You will then need to look for the electrical lead that is coming from your radio. This lead powers one of the stereos. You will then wrap the lead with electric tape so that it does not touch the metal surface.

That should do it. Your Ford radio install should be complete.

When it comes to car show rooms we’ve seen some impressive displays for potential customers. Some cars showrooms we’ve been to were decorated with Christmas lights that basically covered the entire ceiling. Other car showroom’s were full prizes to give anyone that they could lure in. One car showroom had a car hanging from the ceiling; now that we had the call cool.

Most dealerships shoot commercials not from a cool looking set featuring their car that they’re trying to sell but instead they take you into the car showroom. If they have not been able to get you into their dealership showroom they’ll try to get you accustomed to it from your living room couch. That is how important the car showroom is to the car dealer.

The 7 CX Mazda is a compact crossover SUV representation from Mazda, the construction version of the MX-Crossport designed vehicle. The 7 CX Mazda was built in Hiroshima. The 7 CX Mazda was shown overtly for the first time at the 2006 Los Angeles Auto Show. Production authoritatively began in February at Mazda’s Ujina industrial unit in Hiroshima. The 7 CX Mazda goes on sales floors in spring 2006.

The 7 CX Mazda features fully autonomous suspension, four-wheel ventilated brakes with average anti-lock brakes, stability control and traction control, and a selection of either frontal steering wheel drive or Mazda’s Active Torque-Split all steering wheel drive arrangement. With the Active Torque-Split arrangement, two computer-controlled magnetic clutches give up to 50 percent of the engine’s torque. The Mazda CX-7 is estimated to deliver over 23 mpg (10.2 L/100 km) in shared driving. That is important for most families considered about fuel cost.

Power comes from the same 2.3 L straight-4 MZR engine found in the Mazdaspeed 6, and tuned to manufacture 244 hp (182 kW) at 5000 RPM and 258 ft·lbf (350 N·m) of torque at 2500 rpm.

The 7 CX Mazda uses the suspension of the Mazda MPV van, with the suspension from the Mazda5. The transmission features 6 gears of Mazda power. The 7 CX Mazda is a mix between the Tribute and CX-9.

The name of this Mazda breeded machine Kabura has Japanese significance. It signifies an arrow or first arrow to be exact being shot into the air for battle. The arrow also makes a howling sound. It’s an interesting concept for a name that Mazda looks to aim for with their new sports car.

The headlights of the Kabura are T-shaped or even looks like an ax if you tilt your head to the side. It’s a new looking design for headlights from Mazda. The body design of the Kabura is strikingly similar to the RX8.

The bumper on the Kabura seems to have been inspired slightly by the Mazda 6. The hood has a transparent material in the center that allows you to see the engine of the Kabura with the hood closed and looking at it from the outside. The windshield actually extends to the roof top of the Kabura. That may not be comfortable on a hot sunny day but it definitely looks hot in the showroom.

The interior of the Mazda Kabura is not as comfortable to match the look. However comfort is not as important on a sports car. We do like the rims and wheel treads on this concept car. When you open the car door and look down the lining around the body of the car says “Kabura”. Nice touch Mazda!

The Mazda Kabura design is one of the first to come mostly from North America. We’ll see how long it takes Mazda to release this new design if they do. Right now they are working on the release of the 7 CX Mazda.
